Rajini-Ranjith Team Looking for ‘Adult Daughter’ Role

Superstar Rajinikanth will be playing a role close to his own age in the upcoming Ranjith directorial. The team is currently looking for an actress to play the role of Rajini’s adult daughter. The title for the movie has not been decided yet.

According to the rumours that have been surfacing about Rajini’s role in the movie, he will be playing an aged don who has a firm grip on the underworld. The movie will star Radhika Apte who will play Rajini’s wife. The king of Tamil cinema previously played the father role in his films Padaiyappa and Annamalai, both of which were blockbusters.

Whether Rajini will play the aged character throughout the movie or have segments, in which he is shown as a youngster, is still being speculated. What’s confirmed is that Kalaipuli S. Thanu will be producing the film. The shooting is expected to begin early September or as soon as this month ends.
