Rajkumar Periasamy Talks About Rangoon

Director Rajkumar Periasamy is all prepped up for his upcoming flick, Rangoon, which is slated for a release on June 9. As the flick is nearing its release, Rajkumar talks about his flick in an interview. In the interview, he shares details of his project and why he chose Rangoon as the title for his movie.

He said, "This film is the survival story of 24-year-old Venkat, whose family has been repatriated from Burma. The story is set against the backdrop of north Madras. The youngster, Venkat, faces a lot of challenges and how he comes out of it forms the crux of the film. The film is not entirely about the Burmese people in the city, the repatriots are just a part of the film. This will be a complete entertainer as well".

He further added that he chose Rangoon as the title because the place plays a key role in the plot. The film has been canned out widely at the place. The film stars Gautham Karthik in the leading role.
