    Rana Daggubati To Play Scientist In A Film On SS Vaitarna’s Disappearance

    After working in The Ghazi Attack , the film which was about a missing submarine Ghazi, Rana Daggubati has once again been roped in to work in another film which is based on a similar subject. He is all set to work in director Dhwanil Mehta’s upcoming film which will revolve around steamship SS Vaitarna. Also known by the name ‘Vijli’, the steamship went missing in 1888.



    While The Ghazi Attack saw Rana playing the role of Lt. Commander Arjun Varma, the Dhwanil directorial titled Vijli - Mistery of the Phantom Ship will see him essaying the role of a scientist, who tries to find out the reason behind its disappearance. Yogesh Joshi has penned the script of the movie. Around 700 people were on board when the ship got stuck in a cyclonic storm.



    It is being reported that Daggubati has agreed to do the film as he found the script interesting. According to reports, he even went to London for a discussion with the makers. If reports are to be trusted, majority of the dialogues will be in English. The period drama will reportedly be made in Hindi, but will also have a Tamil and a Telugu release.
