Ranjan Krishnadevan, a former assistant to director Manoj Kumar, is making his debut as a director in Tamil cinema with the horror flick titled My Dear Lisa. The movie will have Vijay Vasanth and Chandini Tamilarasan playing the lead roles. Apart from the above actors, the flick will also have Aadukalam Naren and Singampuli who will be seen in supporting roles.

Director Ranjan and Vijay Vasanth deny that the movie has any connection with 1987 horror film with the same title. “We have just borrowed the title for this film. My Dear Lisa (2017) is an out-and-out horror film set against a serious backdrop. The horror factor will not be diluted by the comedy sequences,” said Vijay.

Talking about the movie, Ranjan said, “The film imparts a social message in favour of women and I’m confident that it would connect well with the audience. My Dear Lisa is a fictional story that happens in and around Ooty. Chandini plays the titlular role of Lisa in the movie. There are four songs and five action sequences and the stunt blocks would be the highlight of the movie.” The film is produced by Ramesh Reddy and will release during Christmas this year.
