    Rap Rakesh’s ‘12AM’ Is On Women Empowerment

    Popular musician Rap Rakesh, who is recognized widely for his song Munne Vaada has come up with his latest single, 12AM. It was launched by Vijay Sethupathi and focuses on victims of rape. In other words the song talks about the women empowerment.

    "I began the writing process in 2012, when the gruesome death of Nirbhaya took place in Delhi. And later, I developed the idea and composed the song this year. I dedicate the song to all those victims, including Jaswa in Kerala, Mahesh and Swathi in Chennai, who lost their lives mercilessly", he revealed.

    He added further by saying, "I rap to vent out my emotions and talk about various social issues. As a musician, I use this as a platform to address these issues”. Talking about his rap career, Rakesh added that it was Heavy D and Eminem who inspired him to try rapping in Tamil.
