RJ Balaji’s Second Step In Supporting Chennai

The Chennai floods have brought misery to several families living there. The country is making efforts to provide support to the people of Chennai and among those helping, is RJ Balaji. The radio jockey teamed up with actor Siddharth, singer Chinmayi and other celebrities to put together a relief operation.

Balaji and the team has been working hard non-stop for the past two days. He has now come with a second step in his action plan. According to his Facebook post, “I started doing this merely because I couldn't resist being a mute spectator. It was an emotional move and I am very happy that youngsters came in large numbers to support the cause”.

“But from a relief movement we want to convert this into a rehabilitation movement. If we consider to revive a victim’s life on a long term basis, these food, water and milk packets are not sufficient. We need to come up with a well organised plan foreseeing all the aspects of the victim’s well-being. Therefore from 7th December we will not provide immediate relief but will take this time to plan a rehabilitation operation”, he stated in a video posted to his account.
