Saranya Ponvannan Tenters Uncharted Territory With Achamindri
Fitting easily into loving mother’s character in each of her flick lately, Saranya Ponvannan has planned something different this time. Already won a national award for portraying Vijay Sethupathi’s mother in Thenmerkku Paruvakaattru, the actress will have grey shades to her role in Achamindri.
Saranya was asked about her image makeover and that’s what she had to say, “I do agree that my character Jayalakshmi has a new dimension, which I have not attempted so far. And it’s a big transformation for me in my career. But she is a personality who thinks what she says is correct and wants to win at any cost. When you watch the film, you will know towards the end that what she says was indeed right.”
She added that playing a caring mother is no big deal for her as she does that all the time, but trying something that is not her style is what got her excited for the role. Saranya believes that she had to work hard to improvise in order to justify her character. The flick is being directed by Rajapandi and the movie talks about the inequalities in the education system.
