Sarath Kumar Talks About Chennayil Oru Naal 2

After a short hiatus from limelight, Sarath Kumar is back into action. The actor has several films in his kitty. Chennayil Oru Naal 2 in which he essays the role of a cop will hit the silver screens on Deepavali.

When asked whether Chennayil Oru Naal 2 is a sequel to his earlier film Chennaiyil Oru Naal, Sarath said, “Only the title is retained, but this is not a sequel. It is a fictionalised account of events happening in a day’s time based on Rajesh Kumar’s novel. And this time, the film is set in Coimbatore! It is an investigative thriller directed by JPR. We have made changes in the story to suit the silver screen.”

The actor shares screen space with Napoleon after a long time. Sarath said that he shares a close relationship with Napoleon, who came from the US for a script narration. Napoleon liked the script and agreed to do extended cameo. Talking about his role in Chennayil Oru Naal 2, Kumar said, “It’s not an action-packed investigation. Rather than flexing his muscles, the hero uses his intelligence to solve the crucial case. The way he investigates is depicted in a thrilling manner.” Sarath has two Tamil movies, Rendaavdhu Aaattam and Nallasiriyar, in his kitty. He will also be seen in a Telugu film Bharat Ane Nenu.
