Sathyaraj Roped In For Sangamithra

Apart from Baahubali, there was one more character in both the parts of Baahubali which was equally popular as the main character. Can you guess? Well, it is none other than Katappa which was essayed by Sathyaraj.

After playing Katappa, the demand of Sathyaraj in Tamil cinema has hit the roof. The actor has been roped in for some big projects in Kollywood including Vijay’s Mersal and Venkat Prabhu’s multi-starrer Party. And now rumours are doing rounds that Sathyaraj has been approached for a significant role in Sundar C’s mega budget film, Sangamithra.

However, when asked from a source, they said that nothing has been finalised. “We haven’t finalised anything as of now. We are still working on the cast of the film. And we can’t comment on the recent reports,” revealed the source. Produced by Thenandal Films, Sangamithra is touted to be the next most expensive film of Tamil cinema. Apart from Arya and Jayam Ravi, no cast has been announced yet.

Actress Shruti Haasan was earlier roped in as the female lead. However, the actress backed out of the project due to unknown reasons.
