Sayyeshaa To Star Opposite Karthi In Pandiraj’s Next

It was earlier reported that actor Karthi has been roped in to star in acclaimed director Pandiraj’s next film. The team initially decided to cast either Priya Bhavani Shankar, who debuted in Kollywood with Meyadhaa Maan, or Sayyeshaa, who made her debut in director Vijay’s Vanamagan with Jayam Ravi, for the female lead. And now we have heard that the makers have zeroed in on Sayyeshaa to star opposite Karthi.

A soure has revealed, “Though other leading heroines were approached, Sayyeshaa has now been finalised for the film. Sayyeshaa, who is now in Paris, will finalise everything once she is back.” She is shooting for Junga along with Vijay Sethupathi in Paris.

The source added, “Pandiraj had discussed a script long back with Karthi and as Karthi was busy with Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, he couldn’t take it up immediately. As of now Theeran Adhigaram Ondru is completely wrapped up, he will now work on Pandiraj’s film. The film is in the initial stage of pre-production and too early to reveal any other detail about the film.” The movie is set in the backdrop of a village and will see Karthi sporting a new look, while Sayyeshaa will play the role of a traditional village girl. The untitled flick will be produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and will go on floors at the end of this year or early next year.
