Shanker’s ‘I’: Vikram steals show, but story fails to impress

Shankar's magnum opus 'I' has finally hit the screens. With Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, the film had been eagerly anticipated. Shankar’s ‘I’, which took nearly two years to finish, was expected to give a whole new experience with high-octane action. But other than Vikram’s make-up, the story and the screenplay could not impress the audience as expected.

If we talk about the performance, Vikram steals the show. With three different shades, the film definitely belongs to him. Amy Jackson too looks stunningly beautiful in the entire movie. The movie is also good technically, but the film moves between the present and flashback which makes it long, boring and a bit confusing.

However, Vikram's look has received fantastic feedback from audience as well as the critics. His dedication to portray different shades and the way he had worked out his body to suit the three looks is simply amazing. If not an interesting concept, Vikram’s effort did entertain the audiences.
