Shoot Of Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings’ Nearing End

Venkat Prabhu launched ‘Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings’ in the month of April this year. The much awaited sequel of coming-of-age sports comedy film ‘Chennai 600028’, which did a fantabulous business at the box office when it released in 2007, is slated for a release next year. But looks like, the makers might prepone the release of the film.

According to reports, 90 percent of the film’s shoot has been wrapped up. Now only a song and a cricket match sequence is left to be shot. The team is looking to wrap up the entire film as early as possible to give ample time for the post-production stage.

The director has preffered retaining cast of the original film and only few new additions have been made. The film will be transforming the boys seen in the prequel into men. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for the film which is being bankrolled under Black Ticket Company banner.
