Shruti Haasan For Sangamithra?

Sundar C is all set to direct his next mega-budget project. What we know about the film is that Sri Thenandal Films will be bankrolling this historical flick which is titled Sangamithra. For the film, Jayam Ravi and Arya have been roped in as lead actors.

Now that the male cast is already finalised, makers are now scouting a suitable heroine for the film. Earlier, it was reported that the makers were in search of an A-star performer, being apt for the titular role and having a charismatic and appealing personality at the same time. Now, the news has it that Shruti Haasan may bag the role for the film.

Talking about the plot of the film, Sangamithra is a fiction drama with a historical bent. It highlights the contemporary issues which the audience will surely connect to. However, the makers were planning to make this film a multilingual project, but now the film will just be released in Tamil and Telugu. The music of the film will be composed by none other than legendary AR Rahman.
