Shruti Haasan Plays Journalist In Third Installment of 'Singam' Franchise

Actress Shruti Haasan is all geared up for her upcoming Tamil action flick, S3, which is the third iteration of the 'Singam' series. According to recent reports, the stunning heroine is essaying the role of a journalist in the flick, which is being helmed by filmmaker Hari. Also starring Suriya and Anushka Shetty, the movie is expected to hit the silver screen on October 28 this year.

A source from the flick’s unit told IANS, “Shruti plays a Vidya, a journalist who helps Suriya crack a big case. By working together, they bring down the empire of the antagonist”. Reportedly, the ‘Puli’ actress will shoot for the movie till the end of the month and then return to the sets of her father Kamal Haasan's upcoming trilingual comedy-adventure, ‘Sabaash Naidu’.

Soundtrack for Hari’s next is being contributed by Harris Jayaraj. This will be the fourth time when the director is teaming up with the music composer. As per sources, the filmmaker is extremely happy with all the songs.
