Shruti Haasan roped in for Singham 3

Shruti Haasan has been roped in to play a role in Singham 3. The third installment of the Singham franchise will be helmed by Hari Golpalkrishnan. The flick will also feature Suriya and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles.
 

"Shruti is most likely to play the second lead. While she agreed to be part of the project, the paperwork is still pending. She's expected to sign on the dotted line soon", said a source close to the development. The decision to cast the 29-year-old actress was taken after the director saw her performance in Poojai.
 

"The film is expected to go on the floors in September. Anirudh Ravichander will be composing tunes, while comedian Soori has been cast in an important role", the source said. Suriya, who is currently busy with '24', will begin filming from September onwards.
