Simbu fans came together at Valluvar Kottam on Monday to support and defend the actor. Simbu was being blamed for leaking a song that suggests the actor is against women, which the fans extremely disagree with. Nearly 50 fans, with more coming in, were gathered at the location until the police forced the group to disperse.

Hariharan, one of the fans, said, “This is a song that has been leaked. Simbu did not release this song. We have registered a complaint that we want action against the person who leaked the song. I only want to point out some facts. If you hear this song completely, there are lines in it, the meaning of which when translated come across as ‘Don’t chide girls. Scold yourself.’ However, there has been a deliberate attempt to create an impression that Simbu is against women”.

He added, “Simbu hasn’t done anything that is against the interest of the nation. When those who are protesting against him are given permission to stage agitations, why are we who are his supporters being denied permission to protest?” The song in question is the Beep Song which was written and sung by Simbu.
