Simbu’s ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’ To Clash With Vijay’s ‘Theri’?
Few days back it was reported that Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ might be pushed back to make way for Vijay’s ‘Theri’, which is slated for an April 14 release. Kalaipuli Thanu is bankrolling both the ventures and thus to avoid the business of the films, he may postpone ‘Kabali’. But now, upcoming film of another major actor may clash with the Vijay starrer.
Reports suggest that Silambarasan’s film with director Gautham Menon ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’ may also release on the same date. The makers are planning to release the romantic-thriller during the festival weekend. If none of the stars postpone their film, Kollywood will witness a great clash at the box office around Tamil New Year.
Though Vijay’s 59th film has garnered a lot of attention in the recent past, but Simbu’s film has names of A.R. Rahman and Gautham Menon linked to it. ‘Theri’ is in its post-production stages and the team has enough time to make a great final product. Clearly, Vijay has edge over Simbu, but it can’t be denied that the Osthe actor will give him a fierce competition.
