    Kollywood actress Simran, who rose to fame with Vaali, has apparently been roped in to play a significant role in Nikesha Patel's upcoming trilingual film, Karaiooram. The beautiful actress would appear in a cameo, but a crucial role in the movie. An insider confirms, "Simran has been roped in to play a cameo role in the film - an out-and-out thriller - and it will be a pivotal role. It's a five-day schedule for her".


    Simran, who made her Kollywood debut with V.I.P., has acted in many Tamil blockbusters. The actress received critical praise for portraying the role of a blind woman in Thulladha Manamum Thullum. The versatile actress also played an antagonist in Parthen Rasithen and a suffering woman from a premarital agreement in Priyamaanavale , both critically acclaimed films went on to become commercial successes.


    She received her first Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress for Kannathil Muthamittal in which she played the mother of an adopted 9-year-old daughter. The actress will be seen in a pivotal role in G.V. Prakash's next film Trisha Illana Nayanthara. In addition, Simran will judge Dance Tamizha Dance Season II this year.
