Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Rajini Murugan’ Set For Pongal Release

Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film ‘Rajini Murugan’ has been postponed quite a few times. The film was supposed to hit screens on December 4, but due to terrible weather in Chennai, the makers decided to push back the release date of the film. After facing repeated postponements the film will finally hit the screens on an auspicious occasion.

According to reports, the Ponram directorial will now be released on January 14, 2016 on the occasion of Pongal. This is the first time that a film of the Kaaki Sattai actor will be released on Pongal. Keerthi Suresh is playing the role of the leading lady in the flick.

Reportedly, ‘Rajini Murugan’ will clash at the box office with Bala's ‘Thaara Thappattai’ and Sundar C's ‘Aranmanai 2’. Speculations are rife that Pandiraj's ‘Kathakali’ may also hit the screens on the same date. The film will face tough competition from all three films if the reports turn out to be true.
