Superstar Rajini crowned with Film Personality of the year award at IFFI

Last night was a moment of celebrations for millions of Rajini’s fans as the megastar was honoured with the centenary award for Indian Film Personality of the year at the 45th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.

The Thalaiva received the award from Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley and Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, who was the chief guest at the fest this year.

 "I am honoured," the superstar had earlier said in an interview while talking about the award. Accepting the honour, Rajinikanth referred to Amitabh Bachchan as his 'big brother'.

"To make a speech after Amit ji's excellent speech, I have no words. I am fortunate to be here today. I am honoured to receive this prestigious award," said the legendary actor.
