    Suriya asks fans to join PM’s Clean India Campaign

    The latest to join the bandwagon of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Clean India Campaign is none other than actor Suriya. The campaign, which aims a clean India by 2019 has witnessed celebrities showing support and enthusiasm to take part in it. Prime Minister Modi earlier invited nine people, including cricket star Sachin Tendulkar, actors Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Kamal Haasan, to join him in his cleanliness drive. Now, according to sources, Suriya has also shown his interest to participate for the same.

    When asked, the actor said, "Hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness are the need of the hour. Keeping ourselves, our homes and our neighbourhood clean doesn't cost us anything. It helps everyone of us." He also reiterated the importance of providing a cleaner environment for the future generation. He said, "Passing on wealth to children is important, but giving them a clean environment to live is even more important."

    Actor Suriya who is known for doing his bit for society through his trust also took up the ‘My Tree Challenge’. The Ghajini actor also appealed to his fans on social networking sites to support PM’s noble cause.
