Suriya in talks to star in Sathuranka Vettai sequel

Suriya is in talks to star in Sathuranka Vettai’s sequel. Sathuranka Vettai marked the directional debut of H. Vinoth. The action-comedy was a box office success and received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike. The actor is known for his stellar performances in films, such as Nandha, Kaakha Kaakha, Ghajini, Singam and Singam 2.

"Vinoth has approached Suriya for Sathuranka Vettai 2. He narrated the script and Surya liked it, too. But things are yet to be finalised", a source told TOI. The 39-year-old actor is currently busy with the shooting for his film 24, and is also awaiting the release of Venkat Prabhu's Masss.

The original film was produced by Manobala, and featured Suriya and Ishara Nair in the lead roles along with Natraj, Ponvannan and Ilavarasu. The sequel will be helmed by H. Vinoth and produced by N. Lingusamy under the Thirupathi Brothers banner. The details of the cast and crew have not yet been revealed yet.
