Suriya’s ‘24’ Out Of Pongal Race

The shoot of Suriya’s upcoming film ‘24’ was wrapped up early this month. The film is in its post-production stages currently. Earlier, reports suggested that the science-fiction thriller film will hit the theater screens around Pongal. But now looks like that the film will not release around Pongal.

According to reports, the makers of the flick are planning to postpone the release date of the film. The Vikram Kumar directorial will now hit theater screens in the summer of 2016. Sources claim that the makers want to pull out of the Pongal race as many big films will be released during that time.

Rajinikanth’s mob film ‘Kabali’, Vijay’s ‘Vijay 59’ with director Atlee and Sivakarthikeyan’s next with director Bakkiyaraj are all eyeing Pongal release. Many are expecting ‘Kabali’ and ‘Vijay 59’ to steal the show. However, the release date of any of the films has not been confirmed. ‘24’ features Samantha and Nithya Menen as female leads.
