Suseenthiran And Sasikumar Join Hands For A Film On Women’s Kabaddi

Filmmaker Suseenthiran already has three films in the pipeline but he doesn’t seem to stop. The director is all set to start work on a fourth film. And to our surprise, he is teaming up with Sasikumar for that film. And as per the reports, this one, too, will be a sports-based film — women’s kabaddi.

Interestingly, Suseenthiran debuted in the industry with Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, which was also based on kabaddi. Talking about this upcoming project, the director says, “I’ve completed work on Genius and Angelina already, and the last leg of shooting is on for Champion, which is based on football. And then, I will begin work on this film with Sasikumar; Bharathiraaja sir is also a part of it”.

The filmmaker added, “Women’s kabaddi is a popular sport, and my film will explore the emotions of seven girls… the seven players. I want to make this one on a grand scale, something along the lines of Chak De! India. This one is not related to my first film”. There will be seven girls playing pivotal roles and the audition is on to finalise them. As per the director, the film is likely to go on floors either by the end of September or in the first week of October.
