Legendary actor Rajinikanth on Saturday paid tribute to late Cho Ramaswamy. While lauding him, Rajinikanth said Cho was a unique soul and all the politicians used to seek advice from him. While addressing the squad at the 47th Thuglak anniversary event, Rajinikanth stated that Cho had wished Jayalalithaa to be there till he survived.

Lamenting over the demise of Ramaswamy, Rajinikanth, earlier, told ANI, "I had come to offer my condolences and pay tribute. Cho Ramaswamy never compromised his writings for anybody's sake. My heartfelt condolences to the family members. May his soul rest in peace."

Ramaswamy was not only a renowned journalist but was also political analyst and founder-editor of the Tamil magazine Thuglak. Ramaswamy died on December 7, 2016, just two days after J Jayalalithaa’s death. Ramaswamy was ailing and seeking treatment at the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, where he breathed his last.  However, their demise is indeed a great loss for the country.
