Jayashree, who has written, composed and sung a lullaby inLife of Pi,has been nominated in the best original song.

    The song has been composed by Canadian musician Mychael Danna. Oscar-winnerdesimusician A R Rahman has congratulated the singer on Twitter, saying, "Congrats to Bombay Jayashree. First ever Academy Award nomination for a Tamil song."
