Telugu producers eager to remake Kaththi

Tamil action film 'Kaththi' starring Vijay made a successful entry in the box office and has already churned a whopping collection of Rs. 30 crore in the opening week itself. According to the latest reports the film is considered to be remade in Telugu as well and actor Pawan Kalyan is considered for its Telugu remake.

According to a close source, "Several producers have expressed interest to remake 'Kaththi' in Telugu. Pawan Kalyan is the top contender in the list of actors to play the lead in the remake. But the makers of the original haven't yet sold the remake rights."

Latest reports reveal that making a remake of 'Kaththi' did not go down too well with actor Vijay; the actor rather suggested the film to be dubbed inTelugu. "Vijay sir was really not keen about remake. He wanted the dubbed Telugu version to be released," said the source.

AR Murugadoss’s action thriller Kaththi starsVijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhuin lead roles whereasNeil Nitin Mukesh, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Sathish will be seen in supporting roles. The film produced under Lyca Productions has its music score done by Anirudh Ravichander.
