Thaandavam actress Amy Jackson to become new face for PETA

Famous animal rights group PETA (People for the ethical Treatment of Animals) has selected Southern actress Amy Jackson as their new brand ambassador. She will be now seen asking people to adopt pets instead of purchasing them from the sellers.

Amy said in a media statement, "We can stop the cycle of animal homelessness and save lives by opening our hearts and homes to a loving cat or dog from an animal shelter instead of buying animals from breeders or pet shops." She also shared his joy via her Twitter handle, "So happy to be announced as an ambassador for PETA India's new campaign; 'Be an Angel for Animals' #AdoptDon'tBuy. Huge thankyou to the fabulous photographer, Nikki Lyons and super talented makeup artist Sarah Lyons #PETA." The new visual portray her as an angel holding Alfie, her real-life pet cat, tight in her arms. The visual says, "Be an Angel for Animals: Adopt. Don't Buy!" Amy is an active supporter of animal rights and also keeps on talking about issues like animal adoption and rescue operations on the social networking platforms.
