Thala 56 launched in Chennai

The formal pooja ceremony of Thala Ajith’s much-anticipated film 'Thala 56' took place this morning in Chennai. The film will feature Ajith Kumar, Shruthi Haasan, Santhanam and Thambi Ramaiah. Produced by A.M. Rathnam and directed by Siva of Siruthai and Veeram fame, the film will have editing by Ruben, cinematography by Vetri and music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Antony L. Ruben has previously worked on blockbusters like Raja Rani and Darling, while Vetri has earlier handed the camera for Veeram. Choreographer Silva, who was also appreciated for his work in Veeram, would be in charge of the stunts in the film. Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that the film’s title is Achcham Illai. However, there has been no official confirmation yet.

The shooting for the film will commence from May 7, 2015. Comedian Santhanam plays a significant role and the makers are preparing to release the film on November 11.
