Thala Viduthalai: New song from Ajith’s Vivegam is about never giving up

Remember Eye of the Tiger from Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky? The latest single from Ajith’s Vivegam, Thala Viduthalai, could be the star’s own version of Eye of the Tiger as the song’s lyrics is all about rising against all odds with never give up attitude. Going by the lyrics, the visuals of the song will send Ajith’s fans into a tizzy. The song was released on Sunday night and in no time it became a chartbuster.

The principal shooting of Ajith’s Vivegam, one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of the year, was wrapped up last Thursday. Film’s director Siva shared the news on his Twitter page and thanked Ajith’s fans for constant support and love. In June, the makers released the first single Surviva from the album and it was extremely well received as it went on to be streamed over a million times on Saavn. In the film, Ajith plays an Interpol agent and is said to have performed a lot of stunts sans body double in the film, which has been reportedly made on a budget of over Rs 100 crore. Siva has teamed up for the third time with Ajith after Veeram and Vedalam. The film also introduces Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist to Tamil filmdom. Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan play pivotal roles.

According to sources, Ajith looks his stylish best in the film and has also set an example by sporting six-pack abs, despite a long history of medical condition. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Vivegam has music by Anirudh Ravichander and it is loosely based on Liam Neeson’s Taken, according to industry grapevine. The film is slated to hit the screens worldwide in August.
