    Tamil action thrillerThalaivaa starring Vijay in the lead is in grave trouble as the film has not yet received any clearance for its release in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Thalaivaa’s whole cast along with Nadigar Sangam President, Sarath Kumar, is working in close coordination to make the film’s release possible.

    The latest update in the same has emerged that the director along with the lead actors, composer, cinematographer and producer are undergoing a fast to make the venture come on screens. To accomplish this idea peacefully, they are seeking permission from the police commissioner. The director authenticated the upcoming buzz saying,"We are seeking permission from the Chennai commissioner for the same."

    A letter has also been sent to the commissioner of police that reads, "Despite various steps undertaken to release the film in Tamil Nadu, the film hasn't hit screens. So, the cast and crew of the film seek permission to conduct a token fast at a venue designated by the government, for early release of the film. The distributors and exhibitors have incurred heavy loss, especially since the film has released in all other states, except Tamil Nadu."Thalaivaa was forced to drop down from the theatres after continuous threatsreceived over telephone and anonymous letters by the theatre owners. An appeal has also been made to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha to fasten the process.
