This Is How Robot 2.0 Made More Money Than Baahubali 2 Even Before Its Release

The year is great for movie lovers and for the South industry too. While two of the big budget Tollywood movies released in January this year, many more are coming. Two of the biggest Indian films that are Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages are all set to hit the theatres within months. While Prabhas and Rana Daggubati starrer Baahubali 2 will release next month on April 28, Akshay and Rajinikanth starrer Robot 2.0 will release on Diwali.

Made with such a colossal budget, comparisons between both the films are sure to be made. Well, seems like it’s started even before the release of both the films. The battle of which flick will bring in more money has already commenced.

If reports are to be believed, Baahubali 2 has earned a huge amount of Rs 80 crore from its satellite rights, whereas, Robot 2.0 has raked in a prodigious Rs 110 crore from its satellite rights. So, clearly, Rajinikanth’s 2.0 has won this round. On a related note, 2.0 has been made with an estimated budget of 4 billion which makes it the most expensive Indian film till date.
