According to recent reports, smuggler Veerappan’s wife V Muthulakshmi has urged the public to boycott ‘Villadhi Villain Veerappan’, the Tamil dubbed version of a docudrama thriller ‘Killing Veerappan’ which was helmed by director Ram Gopal Varma. Earlier, she revealed that RGV had promised to screen the movie for her so that Veerappan or his family is not portrayed wrongly. Recently, Muthulakshmi claimed that the flick is full of lies and depicts her husband in an improper way.

"As a wife, only I know his personal life. I really do not know how this film director has made this movie”, stated V Muthulakshmi, adding, “I have lived with him for four years and my two daughters were born in the forest. Nobody knows his personal life and his background. I appeal to people not to watch this movie”.

The movie is based on the events leading to ‘Operation Cocoon’ to capture or kill Veerappan. The docudrama was primarily shot in Kannada language. After garnering positive responses for his work, RGV again came up with the same story in Hindi with a few changes in the script.
