Vaalu gets a new title, Retta Vaalu

There is a new title for Akhil and Saranya starrer Vaalu which is directed by Desika and it will be called Retta Vaalu from now onwards. The revision of the title has taken place to avoid a clash with another movie by Simbu and Hansika Motwani which has also the same title.

Choosing the most appropriate title for any film is quite a tough task for filmmakers and after choosing one if it gives rise to problems with the rights of the title, it becomes a headache for the makers of films. This editing of the title has been caused to honour a special request by Producers' Council. As per director Desika, the original title Vaalu was quite perfect for the film as it suited the extremely naughty character of the hero. But now as it has been re-titled as Retta Vaalu the director is also satisfied as both the lead characters are roguish in the film.
