Vadivelu’s Untitled Project Shelved

Earlier, we heard that GV Prakash collaborated with comedy icon, Vadivelu for a film. However, when this announcement was officially rolled out, it came as a shock for everyone that GV Prakash and Vadivelu were teaming up for a film. The latest news is that this project has been shelved.

Explaining the reason behind dropping the project, director of the film, Ram Bala says, “Initially, when I narrated the script to producer Stephen, he had agreed to get Vadivelu and GV Prakash on board. When Vadivelu agreed to be part of the film, he suggested that he have a separate comedy track and the producer demanded that I change the script accordingly. These days, having a separate comedy track has become passé and I told the producer that I wouldn’t compromise on my script. Due to creative differences, we had to drop the project.”

When asked about his equation with GV Prakash’s and Vadivelu’s, Ram Bala said that even today GV Prakash and Vadivelu share a great rapport with him. Presently, the Dhilluku Dhuddu director is planning to restart this project with a new producer and a brand new cast. Also, he is penning another script simultaneously.
