Varalaxmi Sarathkumar Roped In For A Female Centric Film

A Priyadaarshini, who was previously an associate of filmmaker Mysskin, is venturing into direction with a female-centric film. Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has been roped in to play the lead role in the movie. The director has said that her film will be unique from others as it will have elements of action, mystery, travel and thriller.

Talking about the movie, Priyadaarshini said, "Varalaxmi plays the protagonist, and she is involved in a cat-and-mouse game with the antagonist. Her character will be an action-oriented one, on the lines of the protagonists in Kill Bill and Lucy, and she will not be having any romantic interest. We are in talks with a leading hero to play the role of the antagonist.”

The flick will be set in Chennai and Pune and will also depict contemporary issues faced by women. Onaaiyum Aatukuttiyum cinematographer Balaji Ranga will crank the camera. The movie will start rolling from October 15. The makers will release the first look of the flick on Vijayadasami which is on September 30.
