Varalaxmi Speaks Out On Sexual Harassment

As fans and celebrities are yet to come on terms with recent sexual harassment case with leading Malayalam actress, many stars have come out to talk openly about it. The Tharai Thappattai actress, Varalaxmi surprised many by revealing her own such episode. The industry is boiling over this recent incident, where a celebrity was abducted and sexually abused.

Vara alleged that she was sexually harassed by the head of a popular Tamil channel. She said, “Despite being a star kid, I have faced this situation. I am sure that this is not the first time that the guy has done this. He must have done it in the past. This issue needs to be addressed and it is not right for any woman to be put to shame.

The Nataraju Thane Raju actress went on by saying, “If a guy has the guts to do this, why shouldn’t he be put to shame? It is disheartening to see women being victims. Also, this doesn’t happen only in the film industry; it happens in every industry”. Varalaxmi will next feature in Ammayi along with Vinay Rai.
