Varalaxmi To Star In Sibiraj's Next

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was heaped with praises for her impressive and stunning performance in Bala’s ‘Tharai Thappattai’. If recent media reports are anything to go by, the eldest daughter of acclaimed actor R. Sarathkumar has signed up filmmaker Pradeep Krishnamoorthy’s second project. The director’s first movie ‘Saithan’, which is a psychological thriller, is slated for release on December 2.

Krishnamoorthy’s next after ‘Saithan’ will feature Sibiraj and Remya Nambeesan in the lead roles. According to sources, Varalaxmi has bagged a significant role in the upcoming movie. The actress started her acting career with Vignesh Shivan’s ‘Podaa Podi’ (2012). She also starred in a Malayalam movie ‘Kasaba’, which featured Mammootty in the lead role and was helmed by Nithin Renji Panicker.

The yet-untitled flick will be a retelling of critically acclaimed super hit Telugu mystery thriller ‘Kshanam’. According to reports, the filming of the remake has begun already. The movie is being bankrolled by Sibiraj’s father and veteran actor Sathyaraj.
