Vasudev Bhaskar Not Worried About Box Office Success Of Palli Paruvathile

For the past few days, we have been hearing about director Vasudev Bhaskar’s upcoming movie Palli Paruvathile, which is based on school teachers. The director decided to become a filmmaker when he reached class 10. He gives all the credit to his school teacher Sargam, who he says was a great source of inspiration for everyone at school.

Talking about his teacher, Vasudev said, "He had a different knack of teaching. If he found any student slacking off in studies or bunking classes regularly, he would go to that student's house and convince him/her to come back to school, and would inspire them to do well. I wanted to bring the essence of his character in Palli Paruvathile.”

Director KS Ravikumar essays the role of the school teacher Sargam, while Urvashi plays his wife. Nandhan Ram plays his son, while Venba plays his love interest. When asked Bhaskar how he convinced Ravikumar for the movie, he said, "Ravikumar sir is a busy director and he rarely takes up acting. But I felt he would be apt for the role. When he read the script, he agreed immediately. He plays a teacher who touches the lives of many students. But his only son goes astray. That leads to a strained relationship between both of them.”

Bhaskar is confident that his film will be well received by people who would get nostalgic reminiscing about their school days after watching the flick. He also said that a movie like Palli Paruvathile can only be successful if it has newcomers.
