Venkat Prabhu Scouting Locations For Sequel Of ‘Chennai 600028’

Venkat Prabhu’s sports-comedy titled ‘Chennai 600028’ won the hearts of the people back in 2007. Last year it was reported that the director is planning the sequel of the film and since then the fans have been eagerly waiting for the commencement of the shoot. The pre-production activities for the film have begun now.

 Reports suggest that the director is scouting locations for the second instalment. A source close to the director revealed, "Venkat is in Theni currently, and is accompanied by a few others. They are searching for locations for the film. However, it is too early to say whether they are planning to shoot an extended sequence there, or only a small portion of the film".

Speculations are rife that Vijayalakshmi, who was part of the prequel and decided to quit acting, post her marriage, will be making a comeback with the film as the director is keen to retain the cast of the original film. Reportedly, ‘Chennai 600028 II’ venture will go on floors in the month of May.  Soon the cast will be announced by the makers.
