    Veteran Actor Pradeep Shakti Passes Away

    Yesteryear actor-director Pradeep Shakti passed away on Saturday in New York. He was widely recognized for his roles in Kamalhaasan's Nayagan (Police character), Guna, Chettu Kinda Pleader, Ladies Tailor, April Okati Vidudala and Aalapana. The actor was 60-years-old, survived by his wife. 

    Pradeep Shakti started off with entrepreneurship after migrating to U.S. 20 years ago. He then founded Baba Hut, a restaurant that got its popularity when Thalaivar visited the place long time ago. The actor almost bid adieu to the film industry soon after. 

    However, he made few appearances in some movies with last being ‘Subramanyam for Sale.’ He sold Babu Hut over some financial crunch and established Gongoora Restaurant in Edison City. Being away from movies for long gap he was seen in a short role for Chintakayala Ravi.
