Anjaan is an action thriller flick starring Suriya and Samantha. Talking about his character in the film, Vidyut says, "I am not playing the villain, for sure. We are partners in crime and I am with him throughout the film. I can't reveal much about my character because the twist in the film revolves around it, but it surely is something that I have never done before - in Hindi or Tamil." Suriya-Samantha starrer Anjaan is directed by N. Lingusamy and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and N. Subash Chandrabose.

Appreciating the director and giving him the title of ‘Best director in India', Vidyut adds, "At the expense of being questioned by a lot of people, as to how I can stake such a tall claim, I say this. I have spent more time with him than with my other directors. He makes a genuine effort to make a good film. He doesn't speak English much, but has the ability to express himself."

Vidyut also revealed that he doesn’t believe in competition. "One thing I have realized is that rather than competing, it is better to work as a team. In a film, it is never a one-man show. If it works for everyone, then it works for me. So, while on one hand it feels good to be noticed in the film, that is just not what it is all about," he says.

Vidyut made his Kollywood debut with Billa 2 and completes his hat trick with Anjaan. However, he isn’t that perfect in Tamil yet. "I can say all my dialogues perfectly, but if you ask me to say something off the top of my head, all I can remember is 'Ivan buddhisaali illai' which is one of the dialogues I had said in one of my films. Somehow, that has stuck with me for so long, although I know it is not a very nice thing to say to someone," he smiles.
