Vijay Awards: Dhanush, Samanatha, Vazahkku Enn 18/9 steal the show

The awards ceremony which is highly esteemed down South, Vijay Awards, proved lucky for the budding star of the film fraternity, Dhanush as he bagged the Best Actor award for his film 3. The event which was attended by prominent film personalities including Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Saturday.

The winning star Dhanush tweeted without making any delay, "just grabbed my best actor Vijay award I sincerely thank my fans without u guys nothing's possible (sic)". R Madhavan and Gopinath hosted the 7th Annual Vijay Awards and announced the awards in popular categories. Best Find of 2012, Anirudh Ravichander of Ethir Neechal also tweeted, "I dedicate this award to my hero Siva Kartikeyan and our whole team of Ethir Neechal, Thanks to all for the mammoth success of Ethir Neechal (sic)."

Tamil actor Vijay, who won the Best Entertainer for the year 2012-13 and also the Best Actor award in the popular category for his film Thuppakki, was praised by SRK for his dancing skills and the duo shared the stage dancing to the song 'Google Google'. SRK was honoured with the popular Chevalier Sivaji Award at the star studded evening. Here is the list of the Vijay Award winners:
