Vijay Comes In Support Of Jallikattu Protest

With the entire Tamil Nadu, including all the celebrities and commoners, standing up to lift the ban on bull-taming sport of Jallikattu, one more celebrity joined the bandwagon. He is none other than Kollywood actor Vijay.  The actor led many people to raise eyebrows at him when he failed to attend the Silent protest organised by Nadigar Sangam on Friday (November 20) for the conduct of Jallikattu.

Since many of the top stars of Kollywood such as Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith Kumar, Suriya and Karthi are protesting to lift the ban on Jallikattu, which they consider it as their traditional sport, Vijay too was expected to participate in the Nadigar Sangam protest. However, the actor surprised everyone when he visited Marina Beach where lakhs of Tamilians were gathered for the protest.

Moreover, Ilaythalapathy Vijay as he is famously called by his fans did not just wave his hands and went. He spent quite some minutes with them, sat with them and raised slogans to lift the ban. It seems that such a genuine expression of his commitment for the Jallikattu protest has made the Jilla actor to go a few notches higher in the minds of the public.
