Vijay’s latest Thalaivaa, one of the most anticipated films of this year, has landed in serious trouble as reported earlier and is still in the waiting list to get released in Tamil Nadu while it has been released across the globe on Friday. Now the actor himself has come forward to seek Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa’s interference to help the film get released as soon as possible.

While seeking her help, Vijay showered praises on Amma stating, “The state is witnessing a wonderful administration under able guidance of Puratchi Thalaivi Amma. She hasbeen solving several issues including Cauvery water problem, NLC and helping the poor with cost effective food joints Amma Unavagam, giving laptop to deservingstudents, free electricity to farmers etc. I always admire her way of function and her approach towards anything. She is tirelessly working to make Tamil Nadu the‘numero uno’ state in the country. When she is helping all in distress, I am confident that Amma would intervene in Thalaivaa problem as well and help us to release themovie soon in TN”.

Fans have also been requested by the actor to take stern steps against pirated VCDs of Thalaivaa and lodge police complaint without any delay on any such occurrence. It has been known that state-wide theatres have been facing threats from some unknown outfits if they are willing to release the film and hence the release has been postponed indefinitely. There is another reason behind the delay as a plea has been raised for entertainment tax exemption for the film. It has been reported that Vijay and director A L Vijay went to Kodanadu estate to meet Jayalalithaa over the issue but the meeting didn’t happen as no prior appointment was made. At that time only before coming back to Chennai, Vijay sent an appeal to the CM at the entrance to the estate.
