Vijay’s Debut Tamil Movie Imai Based On A Real Life Love Story

Mollywod filmmaker Vijay K Mohan is all set to step into an unconquered territory with his maiden Tamil directorial, Imai. Actress Akshya Priya, who has done few Telugu flicks, has been roped in for playing the lead role opposite debutant Sarish. The director recently opened up about the flick.

He said, “It is a romantic tale between a ruffian and an intelligent girl. It is inspired from a real story, which was narrated to me by a co-passenger in one of my train journeys. I saw it had all the potential for a commercial fare”.

This will be Mohan’s first Tamil movie. On talking about his Tamil debut, he said, “Tamil industry always welcomes new talents and innovative themes. That gave me the confidence to make the story in Tamil”. Vijay is famous for movies like Nalacharitham Nalam Divasam and Venalmaram.
