Vijay’s Jilla undergoes shooting in Madurai

The much-awaited film Jilla starring Tamil actor Vijay has undergone production in Madurai. The leading star of the film Vijay will join the team around June first week.

The director of the film R. T. Nesan talked to IANS, "Kajal, Mohanlal and a few others will be part of the first schedule of shooting starting today (Monday) in Madurai. Vijay sir will join us later in the first week of June.” He also stated, "We plan to shoot some important scenes featuring Kajal and Lal sir in the next two weeks. Since the story is set in Madurai, we plan to have a longer schedule here.”

The major portions of the film will be shot in Madurai, Chennai and Andhra Pradesh. Some foreign locales have also been chosen to shoot some songs. Nesan also said, "We are planning to release the film during Diwali, but again it all depends on so many factors. If not for Diwali, then we will most likely release during Pongal 2014.” Vijay will be seen playing a rural character in Jilla, which is quite different from his characters in Nanban, Thuppakki and upcoming Thalaivaa.
