Vijay’s ‘Theri’ Defeats Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ In Kerala

The two films that people are looking forward to this summer are Vijay’s ‘Theri’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’. People have huge expectations from both the films, which have been bankrolled under same production house V Creations. The pre-business of both the films has already begun.

Few days back it was reported that producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu is close to sealing a deal worth Rs. 13 crore for both the films in Kerala. The deal has been completed, Vijay’s action entertainer has fetched more money than superstar Rajinikanth’s gangster saga. Reports suggest that ‘Theri’ fetched Rs. 6.5 crore and ‘Kabali’ received Rs. 6 crore in Kerala, which is dominated by Vijay’s films.

The teaser of Atlee directorial ‘Theri’ broke many records on YouTube soon after its release. The 54-seconds long teaser will now be screened in the theatre screens with Atharvaa starrer ‘Kanithan’. The film which has been bankrolled by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, who has also funded ‘Theri’, will hit the screens on February 26.
