The Tamil actor talked about his role and said, “I play the role of a MARCOS (special operations unit of the Indian Navy) officer. For the first time, I play a character who's arrogant and bold and with shades of grey. The film is a complete action-thriller. Till now, I sported only a boy-next-door kind of a look in all my films, but in this film I don a completely different look," and adds, "I have put on weight for the role, and have done my best to get the look right. The process of transformation was little tough for me as I got injured while playing the celebrity cricket league, but somehow I managed to hit the gym regularly".

The movie stars Udhayanidhi Stalin and Amy Jackson in the lead. After working with the 7th Sense actor, Vikranth said, “I completely enjoyed working with him. Most of my scenes in the film are with Udhayanidhi, and recently we both shot for a crucial scene in Kodaikanal, along with Sathyaraj sir. Udhayanidhi strongly believed that I will suit for the role. Also, both the director, Thirukumaran and the cinematographer, Sukumar, took all efforts to shape my character well”.
