Visaaranai To Travel Down Under At IFFM

Visaaranai makers have one more reason to cheer. Their crime thriller, which released earlier this year, is now set to be screened at Indian Film Festival at Melbourne. Earlier, the flick was premiered at the 72nd Venice Film Festival.

The critically appreciated movie is written and directed by Vetri Maaran and is based on the novel Lock Up from M. Chandrakumar. Lead cast of the film include Dinesh, Anandhi and Aadukalam Murugadoss. Festival will begin from August 11.

The storyline is based on a police brutality, corruption and loss of innocence in the face of injustice. The film bagged three trophies at 63rd National Film Awards. The categories include the Best Feature Film in Tamil, Best Supporting Actor for Samuthirakani and Best Editing was given to the late Kishore T.E.
